The TUS MA in Art, Psyche and the Creative Imagination is a blended mode MA programme envisioned to offer a transformative learning environment that aims to enrich personal, social and cultural life contexts by exploring the interface between art and psyche and by cultivating a practice of the creative imagination. This is an interdisciplinary programme with an emphasis on depth psychology, informed by the arts and underpinned by the processes of creative imagination.
Lindsay applied for the MA in Art, Psyche & the Creative Imagination, but did not have the required minimum entry requirements using formal learning alone. The programme information page indicates that RPL can be used as an entry route. Lindsay discussed this option with the programme team.
Lindsay’s application was successful and her insights below show how RPL has helped her on her academic journey.
How did RPL benefit you in TUS?
“I was looking to deepen my arts practice which works at the intersection of psychology and art, so I took a certificate course in Jungian Psychology with Art Therapy at LSAD. RPL considered this certification alongside an associates degree from college in the U.S. and provided an opportunity for me to continue to build upon my knowledge and experience by admittance into a Masters in Art, Psyche and the Creative Imagination. This was the logical next step, led by the same director and lecturers, and it met me where I was in my career rather than setting me back with irrelevant perquisites, requiring more time and financial means.”
Why was RPL the right fit for you?
“RPL considers the life experience of a mature student which means there is no wasting time. A person can apply using all that they know already and build from there.”
