In October 2024, TUS Library launched TUS Open Press, using the Pressbooks platform. TUS Open Press is a flexible and user-friendly platform where our staff and students can publish their work, research, projects and innovative practices in an engaging digital format. TUS Open Press works are Openly Licensed to maximise reach, impact and reuse potential.
Pressbooks enables the inclusion of a variety of media, including text, audio, video and H5P content, to create interactive and inclusive digital content. TUS Open Press provides detailed analytics for each output and can increase the reach and impact of your work.
We provide a publishing vehicle for a breadth of dissemination opportunities to meet the needs of our university community. We welcome:
- edited volumes of your research outputs
- plain language summaries and visual abstracts/representations providing additional context and links to your other published works
- event and conference materials, including book of abstracts
- student co-created projects
- podcasts/audio files and videos, which can be incorporated within the Pressbook platform
- niche projects
Our first research-oriented Pressbook, RUN-EU Student Research Colloquium 2025 – Book of Abstracts, is in development at present and will be published in the near future.
We are hosting a series of information sessions to explore how we can partner with our research community to best utilise TUS Open Press. Event details and registration links are available on our Library training calendar:
- Research dissemination using TUS Open Press Wednesday 15 April, 2026 12:00-12:30
