Click hereThe aim of this programme is to provide students with the tools on how to write, why to write, what to write about and how to get it published. The programme will begin with a blank page and introduce learners to the process of engaging to write to successfully write fiction, screen plays, drama, poetry including how to navigate the publishing world. Students will be facilitated to bring existing works to class to share with other learners and to seek feedback.

Intended for:
Writers at all levels of their careers. It is particularly suited to beginners and those who need a channel to express themselves creatively. No experience is required as the programme will begin with the basics of writing and gradually move through the different stages to publishing success. It will be an enjoyable, stress free programme, with one reflection at the end. It will also help those writers working in isolation and looking for a constructive environment to share and develop work.
The programme will be delivered 100% online via Zoom. To attend, students will require access to the internet and an e-mail account. All TUS communication and links to access lectures will be communicated via e-mail. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they can access the lectures. Students will be able to access the lectures on their phones, on a laptop or PC. (Be aware, all TUS Learning gates have the internet facilities to enable one to access all classes so contact your local learning gate in relation to weekly access)
Lectures will also involve breakout rooms so students will be required to have their cameras on and to have a microphone so that they can communicate with fellow students durring these breakout sessions. It is a Faculty recommendation that students have their cameras turned on during class time.
All lectures will be recorded and the recording will be available for a period of two weeks following the programme, enabling you to access the class missed at your own time, later that week. There is no assessment. On completion, learners will receive a Certificate of Attendance, where 80% attendance is recorded. All learners will be requested to complete a reflection of 500 words on their experience of attending the programme at the end of the programme.

Induction: Thursday 4th September 2025 at 8pm (max 1 hour)
