Technologies used in modern Electric Vehicle Powertrains and High Voltage
Charging Systems.
2. Describe AC variable motor speed drive technology and regenerative braking as
used in Electric Vehicle Powertrain applications.
3. Appraise the Health and Safety Risks involved in the diagnosis and repair of High
Voltage Electric Vehicles in line with European electrical safety standards.
4. Develop a Workshop Plan and Risk Assessment for the repair of High Voltage
Electrical Vehicles.
5. Assess the operation and condition of High Voltage Electric Vehicle Batteries and
Charging Systems.
6. Analyse the condition of High Voltage Electrical components and systems prior to
carrying out repairs.
7. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to safely remove, diagnose and
repair High Voltage Electric Vehicle components.
