• Personal and supportive approach to teaching and learning
• Problem Based Learning (PBL) based approaches will be used to challenge and expand the students’ knowledge, skills and competence.
• The programme addresses to a significant level all four key areas, which have been deemed by government as being of critical importance at this time: digital skills, transversal skills, management and leadership skills and the workplace of the future

The programme will give you the knowledge, skills and competencies to become effective employees in the areas of Human Resources

This programme is aimed at those already working in a HR environment, or in a small, medium or large business, or aspiring to do so.

Developed in association with industry, this specialist course promotes a critical awareness of the most recent advances in Human Resources and legislative changes in this functional area and the critical contribution of the function to business efficiencies and effectiveness.

It is designed to apply across all industries and will give the participants an opportunity to reskill or upskill to take up roles in the area of Human Resources. It is also suitable for unemployed persons that meet the entry requirements.

Mature applicants (i.e., over 23 years)

Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)
or
QQI Level 5 – Full award with a minimum of eight modules

Tuesday & Thursday 6.30pm – 9.30 pm (online) Plus selected Saturdays per 9am – 1pm (online).

Start Date – Week Commencing 09 September 2024

For online programmes, lectures will be delivered online, and recordings of lectures will be available to view in the student’s own time.

Induction

Induction for the September 2024 programmes takes place on Saturday 7 September 2024 from 9.00am to 1.00pm. In advance, you will be required to review Pre-Induction reading material, available to you on https://tus.ie/flexible.

During Induction, you will be given the opportunity to:

– Meet your programme lecturers, programme co-ordinator and students

– Overview of the programme handbook, programme’s modules, assessments and delivery timetable

– Introduction to TUS learning systems including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle etc

– Outline of the learning supports available to you during the programme

Fee Policy 

 

 

One Year

Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to progress to the higher certificate in business (Year 2) (Level 6 – One Year)

Graduates from this programme take up leadership and management positions across a multi-disciplinary range of industries. The competencies developed on the programme enable the learner to excel in their role as a manager.
