Course Overview

This programme was designed to give staff involved in a multi-skilled environment an opportunity to obtain hands-on Electrical Control System experience. The programme is particularly suited to staff who have trained in a mechanical background (Fitting/Mechanical Engineering), that require electrical knowledge as part of their skill base, either from maintenance or management perspective. This is a hands-on programme with emphasis on active learning.

  • There are no formal academic entry requirements for entry to this programme, however, this programme is most suited to applicants who have trained in a mechanical background (Fitting/Mechanical Engineering), that require electrical knowledge as part of their skill base.

  • Delivery

    The programme will run for 20 Weeks, 1 evening per week, 3 hours per evening

    Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 9.30pm

    Start Date

    There will be an online welcome session for all students on 9th September 2026

    Classes will commence on Tuesday 15th September 2026

    Location

    Classes will take place at the TUS Moylish Campus in Limerick.

    The proposed delivery schedule is subject to change.
