What can you do in TUS
There are several ways your company can become more visible to our students. This includes coming on campus to promote work placement and/or graduate programmes, or to enhance the skills of our students.
We have established strong links with employers who take part in a range of recruitment events at TUS throughout the academic year and warmly welcome enquiries from all sectors.
Advertise an Opportunity
You can advertise part-time, summer, placement or graduate opportunities on either of our Careers Connect portals. These will then be included in a weekly e-bulletin to relevant students and registered graduates.
Online Promotions
You are welcome to advertise any opportunities or promote your organisation via our social media channels and our monthly newsletter. For our Midwest campuses simply forward any suitable content to careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie. For our Athlone campus please email careers.midlands@tus.ie
Careers Fairs
Our careers fairs provide an exciting opportunity to meet with our students and promote your graduate vacancies and internships. The careers fairs on our Midwest campuses take place each semester (October and February) while on our Athlone campus, the annual careers fair is in October.
Campus Visits & Presentations
Employers are welcome to come to any campus and set up an “Information Stand” in a prominent location. This provides an opportunity to engage informally with students from all disciplines between classes or at lunchtime. Complementing this with a company presentation will maximise student awareness and engagement.
Virtual Presentations
Contact careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie or careers.midlands@tus.ie for further information. You can register your organisation on either of our Careers Connect portals to ensure you are invited to future events.
The Careers & Employability service can facilitate a virtual presentation to a specific class or a more general information event at any time during the academic year. Please contact our Midwest campuses office by emailing careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie or our Athlone campus office at careers.midlands@tus.ie to organise a presentation.
Be a CV Reviewer/Mock Interviewer
Meet with students on a 1:1 basis through a CV review clinic and/or individual mock interviews. This provides an excellent opportunity to engage with smaller targeted groups of students and provide invaluable learning experiences for them.
Deliver Employability Workshops
Delivering skills/employability workshops (CV & interview preparation, teamworking skills, problem-solving, etc.) is an excellent way to connect with students while supporting their development and future success. This is also an excellent way of boosting your profile on campus.
If you would like to raise your profile at any of our TUS campuses, please contact our Midwest campuses office at careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie or our Athlone campus office at careers.midland@tus.ie.
