This programme is a two-year, add-on Level 8 Apprenticeship programme offered on an all-island basis, in partnership with Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) as the leading professional body for Accounting Technicians across the island of Ireland.
The programme is a direct response to the demand for new and emerging skills in the accounting and finance sector in addition to developing the personal and professional competencies and skills of apprentices as they relate to the concepts and practice of accountancy, data analytics, and the sustainability agenda. This programme is accessible to students who have completed relevant modules, acquired suitable qualifications, and have been approved through the TUS RPL process. Upon graduation from the programme the ATI professional award of Accounting Technologist will be granted to degree holders. In addition, the programme will prepare apprentices for employment in modern accounting and finance functions, while equipping them with the communication skills necessary to operate on a cross-functional basis in organisations.
The programme is designed to provide apprentices with identifiable further progression pathways in higher education, employment and personal development opportunities in addition to enabling them to make a positive contribution to the development of society based on technical competencies and ethical values.
