TUS Research Week 2025: A Milestone in Collaboration and Innovation.

The third annual Research Week at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) was a resounding success, with over 3,388 attendees joining us for 69 events under 7 key themes.

The core ethos of this year event “Sustainable Research in a Sustainable World,” marked TUS’s most extensive and impactful Research Week yet, bringing together experts, researchers, enterprise, industry partners, and policymakers to celebrate the transformative power of research.

The week kicked off with an opening address led by Prof Vincent Cunnane, President of TUS, who highlighted the growing impact of TUS’s research initiatives. Focusing how these efforts have advance knowledge and contribute to the region’s economic and social well-being. Growing our research capacity exponentially year on year. Our commitment to attracting high-calibre international researchers and building long-term partnerships remains a top priority, both in our global markets and through the RUN-EU alliance.

This sentiment echoed throughout week, as events continued to foster sustainable research that delivers forward-thinking solutions across our regional smart specialisations.
