Athlone Green Campus

The mission of the TUS Athlone Green Campus is the enhancement of the physical and social environment of TUS Athlone Campus.

Our Key Goals

(a) The general improvement, enrichment and development of the environment of TUS Athlone Campus.

(b) Enhancement of the appearance and ecology of TUS Athlone Campus.

(d) The promotion of an atmosphere of good neighbourliness and active citizenship among the faculty, student body and local community.

(e) The encouragement of greater interaction on environmental issues between the TUS Athlone faculty/student body and local community.

(f) The development of whatever facilities are deemed necessary to cater for young and old.

Green Charter

A Green Charte r for TUS Athlone was signed by Professor Vincent Cunnane, President of TUS, in December 2024 at a meeting of the University Sustainability Committee. The charter sets out targets for litter and waste, teaching learning and research, and campus and community engagement. You can view it here
