Course Overview

Leadership & Organisational Growth is a Level 9, 10-credit programme designed to build capability across three levels of leadership:

 

  1. Leading Myself – how I operate
  2. Influencing Stakeholders – how I influence others
  3. Developing My Organisation – how I lead and grow the organisation

 

Across these three blocks, participants explore:

 

  • Leading Myself: Human Performance, Leading, Decision Making + Guest Speaker
  • Influencing Stakeholders: Influencing, Communication, Emotional Intelligence + Guest Speaker
  • Developing My Organisation: Organisational Culture, Planning, Change Management + Guest Speaker

 

The programme combines in-person learning in Thurles with live online webinars, reflective exercises and application to each participant’s own role and organisation.

What are the entry requirements?

(a) A minimum PASS Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in a cognate discipline.

or (b) A minimum PASS Bachelor Degree (Level 7) in a cognate discipline with considerable (3+ years) relevant experience and/or ability evidenced by an RPL portfolio of prior experience and learning.

or (c) A minimum PASS Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in a non-cognate discipline with considerable (3+ years) relevant experience and/or ability evidenced by an RPL portfolio of prior experience and learning.

or (d) Equivalent Qualifications. Applicants with equivalent qualifications on the European and International frameworks will also be considered. International students must evidence a proficiency in English language (IELTS 6.0).

Students may also apply using the TUS Recognition of Prior Leaning Policy and Application system.

Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) – Assessment

Please review the academic entry requirements for this programme. If you do not hold these qualifications but would like your application to be assessed under RPL please select YES on the online application form.
Once you have submitted your online application you will then receive an email acknowledgement with further instructions on RPL.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a score of 5.5 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a score of 6.0 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements.

    The programme combines in-person learning in Thurles with live online webinars, reflective exercises and application to each participant’s own role and organisation.

  • Each of the three Speaker blocks include numerous reflective exercises to apply the learning through a range of engaging case studies, as well as linking to your role and organisation. To complement the programme, for those who want a more enhanced approach for their personal growth, we are delighted to provide tailored coaching through our Evolve coaching programme, delivered by experienced and qualified Ingenium coaches.

      • 2 in-person full days – TUS Thurles Campus (one facilitator per day)
      • 6 live online webinars (approx. 2 hours each)
    • Core methods: Facilitated workshops, webinars, case studies, reflective journaling and guest speakers.
  • Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.

  • Continuous assessment in the form of a reflective journal for each block.

  • Certificate in Personal Leadership and Organisational Growth (Special Purpose Award, Level 9, 10 Credits).

  • **€2,500.

    Skillnet funded student fee €1,400.00

    This programme has secured funding under Wexford Chamber Skillnet.
