Dr. Amit Kumar Haldar is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, TUS, Limerick since 2022. He earned a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds a M.Tech in machine design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical behavior of lightweight composite structures from the University of Liverpool, UK. Afterwards, he spent a year as a Research Scientist in the Department of Materials at the shenzen fiber, China, and as an Assistant Professor at the Manipal institute of technology, (MAHE), India. He also had postdoctoral experience at NUI Galway and University of Limerick (UL), Ireland. During his stay at NUIG and UL, he worked on the design life of composite turbine blades and the characterization of composite for naval industries. Additionally, He received Marie Curie Fellowship award in 2020.
