The Role of the TUS Pastoral care Co-Ordinator

The Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator provides Pastoral Care for students and staff.
The Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator is available to speak with students in a confidential and safe environment and treats students with respect and dignity in all situations. Students are encouraged to contact Joseph by email and/or telephone and arrange an appointment to meet up, talk on the phone, meet on Teams or drop into his office in the Limerick and Clare campuses. Illness and Bereavement
Should you be aware of a student who is ill, involved in an accident or suffered a bereavement please let the Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator know immediately.

Fees
Application forms for Fee Waiver, for students who are in exceptional circumstances are available from the Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator – please email joseph.walsh@tus.ie
Emergency Fund
Some students find themselves in financial difficulty at times during the academic year. The Emergency Fund can help in those times of unanticipated emergencies.

Institute Liturgies
Various Liturgies take place throughout the academic year. Dates, times and venues will be posted on the various campuses, prior to the event.
The TUS Midwest Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator, Josweph Walsh, looks forward to hearing from you and always does his very best to treat students with respect and dignity in all situations and remember that confidentiality is very important at all times.

Pastoral Care Limerick
- The Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator is Joseph Walsh and his office in Moylish is located directly opposite the college restaurant, off “The Street”, through the double doors beside the Caretakers’ desk. His Drop- In times are posted on the door of his office, which is located beside the Reflection Room. He also attends in the LSAD campus twice a week so please email: joseph.walsh@tus.ie to make an appointment to meet with him.
- The Reflection Room is open all day for Staff and Students to drop by to have a quiet space, pray, light a candle or write a prayer intention.
- The Hardship/Emergency Fund assists students who find themselves in an emergency financial difficulty. Please email: joseph.walsh@tus.ie with your inquiry.
- Applications for Fee Waiver, in exceptional circumstances, can be for applied for through the Grants & Fees Office only.
- There are various charity events throughout the year that students are welcome to take part in as well as opportunities for volunteering.
- Please inform the Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator, Joseph, if any student is seriously ill or if there has been a bereavement.
- Please take good care of yourselves throughout the year and look after each other.

Pastoral Care Tipperary
Thurles Students
The Pastoral Care Support for TUS Thurles students and staff is Theresa O’ Sullivan. She attends on Thurles campus every Thursday morning and she is based in the white building nearest the Car Park, in Room D117.
Theresa is available on email : theresa.osullivan@tus.ie for any query you may have and to make an appointment.
Clonmel Students
The Pastoral Care Support for the Clonmel students and staff is Theresa O’ Sullivan and she attends on the Clonmel campus every Thursday afternoon and is available in Room A117 from 2 to 5.30pm. Please drop in for any query you may have or if she can help in any way . Please email Theresa on : theresa.osullivan@tus.ie to make an appointment to meet in person / talk/arrange a Teams meeting. .
Other Information for all Tipperary Students
- The Hardship/Emergency fund assists students who find themselves in emergency financial difficulty. You can apply through the Pastoral Care & Chaplaincy office. Email: theresa.osullivan@tus.ie.
- Details about the waiver of fees application are also available. This is operated by the Fees Office but Theresa can help with initial query and refer the student to the Fees Office.
- There are various charity events throughout the year that students are welcome to take part in as well as opportunities for volunteering.
