The TUS Mid-West Pastoral Care Service, at its heart, exists to support the wellbeing of all students and staff—of every faith, spiritual tradition, and none. Loosely speaking, the service fulfils three key roles within the university community.
- First, it provides a safe and confidential space where students can talk about life transitions, challenges, or personal concerns. Whether you’re facing change, uncertainty, or simply need someone to listen, you will be met with empathy, respect, and understanding.
- Second, the Pastoral Care Service acts as a point of contact and signposting hub—helping students connect with appropriate supports both within the university and across the wider Mid-West region. We work closely with other student services to ensure that everyone has access to the help and resources they need.
- Third, the service has access to emergency funding for students who find themselves in unexpected financial difficulty that may prevent them from continuing their studies. We understand that financial stress can be a serious barrier to educational success, and we are committed to helping students navigate such challenges with dignity and care.
