More Information

This programme will be delivered primarily online.

Students may have to attend TUS Athlone Campus in person for examinations.

This Level 8 Higher Diploma programme (60 ECTS Credits) is designed to help new and existing managers (as well as those aspiring towards a management position) to develop insights and competence required to influence and empower individuals, teams and organisations.

A varied syllabus will examine leadership from a number of different perspectives and will challenge learners to apply their learning to their own working contexts. Participants will not only learn through application to their own previous or current work contexts but (through their participation in the TUS online learning platform), they will be immersed in a community of learning with fellow professionals and managers. This will deepen learning as participants will empathise with, analyse and problem-solve leadership challenges together.

The programme is designed for those who have decided they wish to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours that will assist in developing or enhancing leadership and management techniques, either wholly or as part of their work role. This Level 8 Higher Diploma is a professional qualification with a syllabus that comprehensively covers aspects of the participant’s role in employment and is based around blending theoretical knowledge, practical application and reflective practice.

The programme is focussed on helping aspiring, new and existing leaders to grow and develop. We have had a considerable number of graduates who have progressed to management positions in their own and new organisations.
