This programme provides a solid foundation in operations, quality, and lean management — areas that are central to the performance and growth of organisations across a wide range of sectors.

It explores key aspects of quality and process strategy, supply chain operations, and human resource management, while also addressing the challenges and innovations shaping modern industry practices.

Mature applicants (i.e., over 23 years)

Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)

QQI Level 5 – Full award with a minimum of eight modules

Recognition of Prior Learning.

Two evenings per week (online) Plus selected Saturdays (online).

For online programmes, lectures will be delivered online, and recordings of lectures will be available to view in the student’s own time.

Graduates of the Certificate in Operations, Quality and Lean Management may choose to progress their studies by enrolling in the Higher Certificate in Operations, Quality and Lean Management. This progression pathway allows learners to deepen their understanding of lean principles, quality systems, and operational excellence, building on the foundation laid in the Certificate. The Higher Certificate offers a broader skill set that supports career development in manufacturing, quality assurance, operations, and continuous improvement roles across a wide range of industries.
