Course Overview

The BA in Human Resource Management provides students with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the professional behaviours that lead to organisational success. Learn how to manage relationships, foster talent, guide strategic planning and reward performance. Whether students wish to refocus their existing career or gain an understanding of key emerging topics in the area of People Management, this course provides a route to enhancing career opportunities.

Course modules are taught by a combination of full-time academic faculty researching in the field of Human Resources and Employee Relations, and experienced senior HR practitioners. This ensures that students graduate with a range of theoretical, analytical, practical skills and knowledge. Close partnership with the CIPD will allow students the opportunity to attend and participate in regional networking and learning events.

This programme also provides the opportunity for students to gain a CIPD accredited Associate Diploma in Strategic People Management in addition to the potential to gain CIPD Associate membership level.

Entry Requirements

  • Candidates with an interest in pursuing a career in People Management or Human Resource Management and who can apply learnings in a work context.
  • A Level 6 (120 credit) qualification is required.
  • TUS Midlands operate a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning scheme meaning non graduates with other qualifications along with relevant work experience in HR/People Practice will be considered.
  • A short interview & information session will be required as part of the application process.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday the 20th May 2025, however places for this course are limited. High demand programmes require early application.

Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management (60 credits)

When you complete your qualification, you’ll be awarded CIPD Associate Membership, and the designation “Assoc CIPD” after your name. This establishes your credibility as a professional, raises your profile and opens doors to new job opportunities. Blended Learning methods include a combination of live online learning with some traditional classroom learning.

Online lectures Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm – 9.30 pm

Attendance at some Saturday workshops may be required, dates of which will be provided at induction.
