To celebrate Mental Health Week 2022 the TUS Student Counselling services have organised a number of events across our campuses. Please see below to find out what is happening on your campus during Mental Health Week 2022.
Monday October 10th
Athlone Campus
On our Athlone campus on Monday 10th we will launch the new ‘Togetherall’ peer-to-peer 24/7 online support tool with Minister Simon Harris and the Midlands Head of Student Counselling, Treasa Fox.
Moylish and Clare Street Campuses
On Monday mental health agencies from the Midwest community will be on our Moylish and Thurles campuses to meet students and staff and celebrate World Mental Health Day. Our Connect Café event will be hosted by TUS Midwest Counselling from 10:30am – 12pm in the main canteens on our Moylish and Thurles campuses. Students are invited to pop in for a tea or coffee, have a chat and meet other students.
Tuesday October 11th
On Tuesday 11th at 10am TUS Counsellor Olivia Feehan will host a live online 15 minute meditation session. Students interested in taking part can join the session via Zoom here.
An ‘Online Resilience Workshop’ will also take place online for students at 10am. Please see your student emails for a link to this workshop.
Clonmel Campus
On Tuesday, mental health agencies from the Midwest community will be on our Clonmel campus to meet students and staff and celebrate Mental Health Week 2022. Our Connect Café event will once again be hosted by TUS Midwest Counselling from 10:30am – 12pm in the main canteen on our Clonmel campus. Students are invited to pop in for a tea or coffee, have a chat and meet other students.
Online
A ‘5 a Day for Mental Health’ online workshop for all staff and students will be facilitated by Jigsaw from 5pm – 6pm.
Wednesday, October 12th
Athlone Campus
On Wednesday 12th at 8:30am TUS Counsellor Olivia Feehan will host a live online 15 minute meditation session. Students interested in taking part can join the session via Zoom here.
An ‘Online Mindfulness Workshop’ will also take place online for students at 10am. Please see your student emails for a link to this workshop.
Moylish Campus
On Wednesday October 12th we will welcome guest speaker Ciaran Carey to share his story to staff and students. This live event will take place in room 3A05 (off ‘The Street’).
Thursday, October 13th
Online
TUS Midwest Student Counselling Service will be delivering an online workshop entitled: ‘Building your Resilience’ from 1pm – 2pm. Students and staff as well as people from the Midwest community are invited to attend.
Friday, October 14th
Ennis Campus
Our Connect Café will be open to students and staff on our Ennis campus from 10am – 12pm.
